where’s Antonio?

We have recently returned from our honeymoon: a week spent at the Grand Hotel Excelsior in the hills above the town of Amalfi on the Italian coast.  We lounged, we ate, we stared at the sea, we visited Pompeii and Vesuvius, we complained about our room and got a better one.  It was an amazing experience, romantic and relaxing, in a perfect honeymoon location.  I must thank, again, all our wedding guests for their generosity.  Without it us two paupers could not have afforded the luxury of visiting what is an expensive place to be a tourist.  The only bad thing about it was coming home (though I suspect I am far too uptight to enjoy living in Italy).  I keep hoping that head waiter Antonio will magically appear, like the shopkeeper in Mr. Benn, and seat us for dinner…
